Starting six years ago, Literaturhaus Zurich invites its audience every February to a literary festival focussed on a specific region or country. Delving into a myriad of stories allows one to experience things far-removed from tired cliches, stereotypes and attention-grabbing headlines. It allows one to get deeper insights into the place one is discovering for oneself. This year the focus lies on Southeast Europe – a region in the midst of the continent, rich in history, languages, and literary traditions.

The online literary festival Southeast European Literature Days will take place from 26 to 28 February – with Lana Bastašić, Alida Bremer, Zora del Buono, Lidija Dimkovska, Marko Dinić, Frenkie, Drago Jančar, Melinda Nadj Abonji, Damir Ovčina, Dragica Rajčić Holzner, Ivan Ramljak, Karl Rühmann, Alexander Sitzmann, Ivana Sajko, Dragan Velikić, Mirjana and Klaus Wittmann, Ivna Žic and many others.
