The European Conference on Literary Translation is an initiative of CEATL (European Council of Literary Translators’ Associations) as part of the UNESCO World Book Capital programme and will take place in Strasbourg from 2 to 4 October. Andrej Lovšin and Angelika Salvisberg from the TRADUKI network will be speaking about “Supporting the translation of foreign literature” and “Networks on the Move” on 3 October. The working sessions will be hosted by the European Parliament in Strasbourg and will be an opportunity to discuss linguistic diversity and artificial intelligence among other topics. A literary evening will feature Bulgarian writer Georgi Gospodinov in conversation with several of his translators. For those who cannot attend the event in Strasbourg, the plenary sessions will also be livestreamed. The full programme and list of speakers can be viewed here.
