Open Day of the Federal Government 2026

Discover politics where it happens! The Federal Government will open its doors on 20 and 21 June 2026 so you can get insight into the workings of political Berlin.

On Saturday, the Head of the Directorate-General for Culture and Society, Christina Beinhoff, will talk to author Jehona Kicaj and the director of the Slovenian Book Agency Katja Stergar to discuss the topic Satz, Land, Fluss – Vom Übersetzen und anderem diplomatischen Handwerk (Where Words Flow – On Translation and Other Diplomatic Strategies). The German Foreign Office is a co-founder of the TRADUKI network, a project that time and again shows how literature can help build bridges in the West Balkan and German-language region.
