Aleš Šteger & Tanja Šljivar

This autumn, there will be three TRADUKI events organised by Forum Literaturübersetzen Österreich.

On 24 September, Aleš Šteger will present his collection of essays Ohr sein. Für eine Welt der Aufmerksamkeit, which was translated into German by Matthias Göritz and published by Residenz-Verlag, at the Musil-Haus in Klagenfurt. The reading will be accompanied by a special musical performance, featuring the accordionist Jure Tori and the author himself. The evening is a collaboration with the Robert-Musil-Institut in Klagenfurt.

On 14 October, Tanja Šljivar will be presenting her novel Nationaltheater (Suhrkamp, t: Mascha Dabić) at the Theater Phönix in Linz. The following day, on 15 October she will be discussing the book at the Literaturhaus Wien. In conversation with moderator Nadja Grössing, the author will shine a light on how the novel, which is markedly autobiographical, came about. Mascha Dabić, her translator, will discuss her role and way of working. At the event at the Theater Phönix actors Gabriele Deutsch and Johanna Egger will be reading several excerpts of the novel. These two events are collaborations with Literaturschiff (14 October) and .dıtiramb (15 October).
