Bulgarian Literature

As part of the TRADUKI residency programme Jörg Plath spent all of May in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. After his residency stay he did a feature called “Bulgarische Literatur. In der „ruhigsten Baracke des Sozialismus“” (Deutschlandfunk Kultur, 1 September 2023, Literatur, 19.30 – 20.00) in September 2023.

This year was an exceptional year for Bulgarian literature and so, for the last leg of 2023, we repost the segment below (unfortunately only available in German):
