From 12th-19th May, Rijeka witnessed the 12th edition of the book fair and writers’ festival vRIsak. Authors, critics, translators, musicians and artists from more than a dozen countries flocked to the Croatian harbour city to discuss literature and the arts. Literary aficionados had a whole week to skim through books and encounter national as well as international guests.

With the support of TRADUKI, several authors took part in the festival, including Drago Jančar from Slovenia, Darko Cvijetić and Mile Stojić from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Aleksandar Prokopiev from North Macedonia, and László Végel and Srđan Valjarević from Serbia.

vRIsak is one of the country’s most renowned literary festival’s. It is organised by publisher V.B.Z. and the cultural organisation Vrisak.
