Last Saturday, the great poet, translator, and author Josip Osti passed away. Osti was born in Sarajevo. Since the late 1980s, he had been living in Slovenia and working as a freelance writer and translator in the tiny village of Tomaj.
Only recently, the TRADUKI-funded Bulgarian translation Учител по любов by Liudmila Mindova of his book Učitelj ljubezni had been published by Panorama.
With Josip Osti Europe has lost a magnetic and wonderful poet.
