The fact that the Leipzig Book Fair 2022 has been cancelled is a great loss for the Region in Focus 2020-2022. But, nevertheless, our „Common Ground. Literature from Southeast Europe“ programme featuring books, authors, music and films will be presented in a slightly altered fashion in Leipzig as well as online under this year’s motto “US AND THEM”.
Our famous Balkannacht and the Balkan Film Week will take place as usual at the UT Connewitz in Leipzig. In addition, fascinating talks with authors will be available online, for example with Georgi Gospodinov and Tatiana Țîbuleac. At the legendary Balkannacht at the UT Connewitz on 19th March, guests can enjoy a heady mix of literature and music. And the 4th Balkan Film Week gets you in the mood for our literary programme from 27th February to 1st March at the UT Connewitz as well as online with 7 extraordinary films.
